There is something energising about welcoming a new face into the practice, especially when that person brings a passion for movement and community.
Dr Will McKinnon (Chiropractor) has recently joined NT Chiropractic Health & Wellness Centre after graduating from RMIT University in Melbourne with a Bachelor of Health Science and a Bachelor of Chiropractic.
Originally from country Victoria, he combines down-to-earth values with strong academic training and a calm, practical approach.
A Background Shaped by Sport and the Outdoors
Aussie rules footy has been part of Dr Will’s life for years, and he still enjoys staying active outside the clinic. Surfing, mountain biking, camping, fishing, and regular strength training all feature throughout the year, depending on what the season allows.
When you enjoy moving your body, you start noticing the small things that help it feel better, like better desk posture, steady mobility through the hips and shoulders, and recovery time after big days.
Travel has also shaped Dr Will’s outlook. Recent adventures took him through Namibia, Tanzania, Zimbabwe, and South Africa, including remote camping inland and along the coast. Different climates, terrain, and daily rhythms, but the same theme – bodies work best when we keep them moving, fuelled, and well-rested.
What You Can Expect in Practice
Dr Will values clear communication and a careful assessment. If something does not make sense, he will explain it in plain language without jargon or fluff. Chiropractic care may assist with mobility, posture awareness, and overall wellbeing, especially when paired with sensible daily habits, like regular walking, strength training, and stretching that fits your routine.
He is looking forward to settling into Darwin and getting to know the local community over the coming months.
